This letter is in reference to Terresa Slusher and her qualifications as a pet sitter. I have known
Terresa for over fifteen years, and have always admired her care and devotion for all kinds of
animals. Her own dogs are some of the best trained and best behaved I have ever encountered. I
spent twelve years managing veterinary clinics, so I’ve seen the full spectrum of dogs and their
owners, and Terresa is truly exceptional.
For all the years we lived in Minnesota, Terresa was the only person we trusted to care for our
dogs when we were away. These ranged from a single evening visit to ten-day vacations. She
often stayed in our home to care for our dogs, which at times numbered as many as five. No visit
was ever missed, regardless of what might be going on in her own life, and we were able to
enjoy our time away instead of worrying about our boys or picturing them anxious and confused
in a kennel.
Terresa is 100% reliable, and provides individual care and attention for each dog. Our dogs
always had a variety of social and medical needs, but she took every quirk and supplement and
special need seriously. Every time she came to visit, our dogs reacted like they were meeting up
with their favorite long lost friend. They adored her and treated her like a family member.
We moved out of state last year, and knowing she wouldn’t be able to sit for our dogs anymore
was one of the worst parts about relocating. Her positive, compassionate attitude and lasting
friendship—for us and our dogs—is greatly missed. However, she is still listed in our wills as the
dogs’ guardians, because I know even halfway across the country she will take charge and be
sure our dogs are well taken care of should we no longer be here for them.
I can’t recommend Terresa as a pet care provider highly enough. She’s one in a million, and if I
could move her here to the house across the street, I’d do it in a minute.
